CIBC Women's Ministry
The CIBC Women’s Ministry exists to glorify God by encouraging women to grow spiritually in wisdom and understanding, to live their lives in a manner worthy of God and pleasing to Him, and to be fruitful in good works. We believe every believer should use their spiritual gifts to strengthen and edify the church, and reach out with compassion and love to the lost (Colossians 19-12, 2:7). The result of this endeavor is that each of us would be a fervent disciple of Christ, rooted and built up in Him and firm in our faith (Colossians 1:9-12, 2:7). With these things in mind, the PURPOSE of the Women’s Ministry at CIBC is: to nurture (care for & encourage) women’s spiritual growth [EXALT Christ], to help women build meaningful relationships [EDIFY believers], and to provide opportunities for women to use their spiritual gifts for the strengthening of our church family and for reaching the lost [EVANGELIZE the lost].
In other words, the Women’s Ministry of CIBC is focused on:
1-Nurturing Spiritual Growth
2-Building Meaningful Relationships
3-Providing Opportunities for Service & Outreach
We endeavor to accomplish our mission through:
1. Quarterly Women’s Fellowships!
TIME/Location: Quarterly, meeting 7-8:30pm on Mondays or on Saturday mornings at the church. Invite a friend!
WHAT: Fellowship, food, time in the Word, testimonies, prayer time
2.Women’s Bible Study!
TIME/Location: For fall 2026, we encourage our ladies to join the "Deep Discipleship" course being held Sunday afternoons from 12:30-2p. Bring a lunch and join others for a time of learning and discussion. We will not be having a separate Ladies study in the fall of 2026.
WHAT: Bible Study (questions/discussion), fellowship, prayer time
3.Regular Service/Outreach Opportunities
TIME: Announced as needs arise.
WHAT: Opportunities to serve our church family and our surrounding community
4. Women’s Prayer List
METHOD of Communication: Email
WHAT: A weekly prayer list updated every Monday. This list is for personal and immediate family requests and is different from the church email prayer list as this will be a private list primarily for the ladies who attend the ladies fellowships/Bible studies. Ladies who are unable to attend Monday nights but would still like to be part can also be added if they are a member or regular attender at Calvary. This is an “opt in” prayer list, and you will only be added if you request to be added.
