We are excited to be continuing in our 3rd year of our Wednesday night children’s ministry at Calvary!
“I Wanna Grow!” is a weekly Kids Club that focuses on memorizing, understanding, and applying Bible verses. Club meets Wednesday nights from 7-8:30pm starting September 10. Our desire is to see children come to know Jesus as their Savior and to encourage them to grow in their child grow in their faith and in their knowledge & love for God and His Word. Throughout Scripture, God gives clear commands for parents to teach their children the Bible and to train them in the ways of the Lord (Deut. 6:6-9; Prov. 22:6; Deut. 11:19). At Calvary Independent Baptist Church, we are passionate about coming alongside you and encouraging and helping you in this endeavor. Psalm 119:9 asks a question: “Wherewithal shall a young man cleans his way?” The answer is also given: “By taking heed thereto according to Thy Word.” These verses teach not only the value, but the true NEED for children to memorize Scripture. Verse 11 then says, “Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee!” God says that Scripture memory and application is what will help keep our children from sinning against Him; so let’s help them memorize Scripture!
WHAT is “I Wanna Grow,” and how is it different from Sunday School or Children’s Church?
“I Wanna Grow” has a strong focus on Scripture memory and application. This ministry will give your child the opportunity to memorize Scripture on a regular basis and to earn awards for completion. This fall, we will be memorizing verses from the book of Romans! Once your child comes to club for 3 weeks and memorizes the theme verse and the first 3 Scriptures, they will earn their official uniform that they will wear to club each week, and they will also earn their verse card pack which includes all the verses they will be memorizing in the fall! We love the Bible and we want your child to love it too! As your child memorizes a Bible verse each week, attends club, and completes application assignments, they will earn “Club Dollars” they can use to purchase items in our club “store” held every 3 months. They will also work to earn award pins for their award banner.

WHEN: Wednesday Nights, 7-8:30 PM; (Our Fall Award Ceremony will be held Sunday, Dec. 7 during the 11am service!)
WHERE: Calvary Independent Baptist Church -- We will meet upstairs
WHAT: Bible Songs, Bible Lessons, Scripture Memory, Games, AwardsWe love children and we want your child to grow – to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God and His Word, and to learn how to apply the Bible to everyday situations. Our theme verse and theme song for club come from 2 Peter 3:18: “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen!”
