Missions Conference Guest Missionaries

John & Emma Napier - Australia
John & Emma Napier are long time friends of Pastor & Mrs. Cartwright having been classmates at Liberty Baptist Seminary. John & Emma have been missionary church planters to Australia since 1984. During that time, John founded and pastored 4 independent Baptist churches in Adelaide. Australia is a continent-nation where 70% of the population lives in 7-8 major cities, and only about 2% knows the Lord Jesus Christ.
In 1989, Dr. Napier felt led of the Lord to found Inter-Australia Baptist Mission. His vision was to have a support agency that would help church planters by providing an ongoing fund large enough to assist Australian nationals to plant independent Baptist churches throughout Australia where the cost of living is much higher than most American cities. The Lord has blessed this vision and 9 churches have been started; 4 churches are currently being supported through IABM.
Please pray for their safety in travel as they minister in churches throughout the U.S. and also remember their family in prayer. In Australia, ask God to raise up church planting missionaries and the funds needed to support them.

Gaylor & Dorothy Carter – Australia
Gaylor & Dorothy Carter have been missionaries to the people of Australia for 30 years and our church has been supporting them there for the entire time. They have four children whom they raised on the mission field and they are all faithfully serving the Lord. God has used the Carter’s in church planting efforts both on the east and west coasts of Australia. Their home base now is in Kellerberrin, West Australia which is about 100 miles inland from Perth. God continues to use them in church planting, evangelism, and Bible teaching with a particular burden and focus on reaching the native Australians, the Aborigines. Please pray for the Carter’s as they return to Australia to continue the work God called them to do more than 30 years ago to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them all things God has commanded us.

William & Laura Lyon - Ecuador
It is a great blessing to have Will and Laura Lyon and their baby son, Jadon with us at the conference. The Lyon’s have just begun full time deputation to raise support to go to northern Ecuador. God has led them to work with some veteran missionaries and then to branch out on their own, winning and discipling souls, starting New Testament Baptist churches and training nationals for ministry. Please pray for them that God would keep them safe in their travels throughout the U.S.; that God would use them in many lives and save souls in their meetings; and that God would supply all their need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Hannah West – Alaska
Dave and Marsha West came to our church soon after we started having missionaries on Wednesday nights, which was almost 30 years ago. Now we are pleased to have their daughter, Hannah, as one of our special guests for this year’s missions conference. This summer our T.E.A.M Canada will be ministering God’s word in Hannah’s home area of Malarctic, Quebec, Canada among the Algonquin Indians.
In Alaska, Hannah will be working with the children’s and women’s ministries of the New Hope Baptist Church in Ketchikan, Prince of Wales Island. As in her home in Canada, they are seeking to reach the native Americans with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her pastor there will be Dale Ensley who recently was a guest missionary at one of our missions conferences. Please pray for Hannah as she travels to dozens of churches this year and ministers as a servant of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jared & Rebekah Stevenson - France
Jared and Rebekah Stevenson are returning to Calvary for a second visit, having come to our church for a Wednesday service one year ago. Their son, Bryce, is now two years old, and their daughter, Rosalyn, was just born in January. Jared and Rebekah met in Puerto Rico while serving the Lord in short term missions opportunities, and now God has built their hearts as one to go to France to serve Him there. Jared’s parents have been missionaries in France since the mid-nineties, and it was soon after this that the Lord touched Jared’s heart about going there to be a missionary. Please pray for them as the time draws near for them to be able to begin church planting ministries in this long neglected mission field.
