Faith In Action is a 156 week program that allows each member and friend of the church family to have the opportunity to promise a specific amount above their regular tithe and offerings. This will require sacrifices on the part of each of us.
To make a commitment to give over and above the regular gifts to the church is a marvelous challenge. It will require a willingness among all the people to sacrifice together.
What should you give? There is just one answer to this question: A SACRIFICIAL GIFT.
Our program for giving has one fundamental principle: NOT EQUAL GIFTS, BUT EQUAL SACRIFICE. Decisions concerning the amount of the gift, be it Reason Giving, Revelation Giving, or both, will rest solely on the individual or family.
Reason Giving: the lump sum amount we give immediately.
Revelation Giving: the amount we commit ourselves to give over the next three years, trusting God for the supply.
While many of our families will be able to give both an immediate gift as well as a weekly gift, the regular weekly giving is extremely important! It is amazing what the ultimate total is of a gift given systematically over a 156 week period.
After prayerful consideration our Pastor and the Faith In Action Steering Committee have established three goals:
Faith Goal: $170,000
Much Faith Goal: $210,000
Great Faith Goal: $250,000

Our goal is to raise funds for Phase One. Each giving unit equals $6.50 and totals $1,014.00 over the next 156 weeks. This is given above our regular tithes. The following chart depicts what can be done through systematic giving.
